Mannn, what a silly downloader. It's maxing my uploads which means my down speed is crap.

Turn off peer to peer in the options. Now.

Yeah, I did before I made the post, jumped up to 350 from 80 or so. Still silly, I'd leave it on p2p and help distribute it if I could limit the up to 50 or something..

Did the RealID friends list f*** up or something? All the people I had added in WoW I've had to re-add in SC2 (even though they use the same b.net login).

Same, none of my realid friends show up in Starcraft 2, which seems kind of pointless cos I thought that was the whole idea behind the realid thing.

It definitely works cross-game, cos when I'm in WoW I can see people playing starcraft 2, its just in starcraft 2 none of them show up.

playing the single player is frustrating when the server goes down, it asks you to log back in to your account but it doesn't pause your game... and I pressed escape thinking it might just let me play offline but it quit the whole game instead.

boooooooooooooooooo..... (but its ok cause i was on the zombie mission - if thats a spoiler you are a girl - and I dont mind replaying that)

Server lag seemed fine, the ping is no better (or worse) than on the US in beta.

The SP is very polished and is great fun the play, my only problem with it is the frustration when setting it to brutal, it basically turns into discovering what the triggers are, not setting them off, build up 200 army and then setting it off. Anything short of this and you will wipe and have to reload from last save. If thats what they mean by hard then.. bleh.

Honestly surprised how well the server has handled. Though I might of missed the initial surge. Played about 7 ladder games tonight, totally smooth except for 2 random dc's but it didnt count for some reason.

I put together a feed system for Hogs site, but there may be other local starcraft communities that would benefit from the data.

So I'm f***ing exhausted this morning - I was up till about 1.30 playing this and every minute was just brilliant. I smashed out some single player campaign on Hard mode but it became quite difficult about 4-5 missions in so had to throttle back to normal and then breezed through, so my first thought is that a middle ground here would have been nice but alas I can just go back later and give it a go.

The single player campaign and story line is just bulls*** for an RTS. It really gets you hooked and interested in what happens to the characters, the ability to upgrade & research outside of the 'battlefield' is very very awesome. So I cracked into some multiplayer and had one of the practice runs against someone who tried to rush me with marines, failed and then I started to attack with battle cruisers, drop shops with siege tanks, etc and he disconnected :(

10/10 from Ticcles!

SEA is seperate from US for RealID. So you can see Americans playing StarCraft when you are in WoW, but you can't see anyone in WoW ever when you are in SEA StarCraft because there is no SEA realm for WoW!

Its a complete and utter balls up, making RealID 90% pointless for SEA as there is no cross-game support to speak of. It just shows you more info on what your friend is doing in StarCraft. BFD.

I reckon this realisation is why they backflipped on SEA region locking, because SEA makes a mockery of their RealID posterboy.

For real? Jesus that's a balls up .. the whole regionalised thing is crap. The SEA forums are abysmal compared to the US forums, all my existing RealID friends are done via WoW so that's on the US battle.net, etc.

Got it yesterday, f*** it felt good to stick it to EB with that $69 price match. Being a complete RTS noob I need someone to show me how this s*** all works. I'm gonna get my ass handed to me online.

Awesome looking game though, looking forward to many months (years?) of play

Just got my copy about 3 hours ago and blizzard have once again smashed it out of the park. 3 things I bloody love about this,

- Getting to pick what mission, and thus what new units/buildings you get is fantastic. I know some other RTS games let you choose missions but you never know what you get for doing one before the other. This lets you tackle missions with better units.

- Research and upgrading paths are fantastic. Seriously they are amazing. The 20 or so zerg/protoss upgrades for buildings/units and then on top of that the bought upgrades with your mission credits are just so cool. Every RTS should have this

- Between missions how you can look around your bar/ship and see little scenes between people adds so much depth to the game. Silly as it may sound, looking around inside the ship, talking to people, watching the TV and all that stuff really helps you feel like your there through it all.

Never doubted this game would be good but holy crap. Also the stuff in the CE edition is awesome. Now I just gotta get in on time when they release the next 2 (which they will do I bet).

Can't for the life of me get close to that 500,000 achievement :/

Started playing some challenge missions. For some reason the game speed in the challenges is set to normal (slower than when you play the SP and slower than MP; both are played on "Faster" speeds). Anyone know how to change this? I looked in gameplay options when I was in the challenge mission and the game speed is greyed out. :(
