Its been a while, ive been using a hosting company for a while. on the the domain registras control panel, i was using the hosts name servers.
now i want to point the domain name to an ip. So i just create an A record? the registra is crazydomains.com.au. Do i need to purchase their dns hosting too? |

Pretty sure if you go to their webpage and either email them or ring their support number, you can get your questions answered.

yeh making an a record point to the ip you want should do the trick for you http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=basic+dns&btnG=Google+Search&meta=&aq=f&oq= and I don't know whether you need to purchase their dns hosting, but at a guess I would say that if you don't have your own name servers to delegate the domain to, you probably will. |

Who is the current DNS hosting with? If it's nobody then you will need to purchase DNS hosting from somewhere (try dnspark.net) or use one of the free ones around. Then create an A record if you want a "www" or "ftp" or "spoot" .yourdomainname.com and point that to an IP.

crazydomains dont include dns modification. you need to pay $20 a year extra

right here on my bookshelf opec I need it as a backup in case I lose the 3 or 4 copies of my mp3 dir that I have, plus my own original CD also your cd has different cover art than mine, so it's good to have both copies |

domain to ip is a record
domain to domain is c record domain to url is a forward remember that most times you need to set up the host header on the server to accept the domain or cname domain one of my jobs atm is too look after all the domains and dns for all of heineken... theres 1000's of domains to look after |
